Enrique Rico Diaz retired as a Captain from the United States Marine Corps and earned a combat action ribbon while serving with a special operations unit. Although a Texas native, Rico settled in Murrieta, California after his release from active duty. While recovering from injuries sustained as a result of military service, Rico completed the screen writing programs at the New York Film Academy. His short film DeKalb Elementary was nominated for an Academy Award. He has won 9 awards and 7 nominations thus far in his career.
