Pedro PeiraPRODUCER | FILMMAKER | DIRECTOR

Pedro Peira is a Fulbright scholarship student and graduate of NYFA’s MFA Documentary Filmmaking program. The Spanish director screened his documentary, LA Queenciañera to a worldwide audience at the 2021 edition of Outfest. The festival showcased over 170 feature-length films and shorts that celebrate the queer experience. LA Queenciañera is a documentary that follows Bamby Salcedo, a transgender activist who reflects on her own personal journey as she approaches her 50th birthday.

Peira has a long list of credits across both short form and long form documentary films. He has worked as a producer, director, and writer.
