Gain Performance and Audition Experience at NYFA
In the 1 and 2-Year Programs at NYFA’s Musical Theatre School in New York, students receive intensive Broadway training, preparing them to pursue ambitious creative goals in the performing arts.
Under the guidance and mentorship of our experienced faculty, students hone their skills in acting, singing, and dancing, working in professionally equipped facilities that include voice practice rooms and dance studios. Throughout the programs, students complete a number of projects designed to enhance their skill sets in voice, dance, and movement, as well as stage, film, and television acting. Upon graduation, students will earn a college credit-bearing Certificate.

2-Year Conservatory-Style
Musical Theatre Program
During the 2-Year Musical Theatre Program, students begin with the one-year curriculum and complete the same projects and exercises.
In the second year, students expand to additional musical theatre, on-camera, and studio techniques that teach them to apply the emotional, physical, and technical work necessary for quality stage and film acting. Students also complete a final Graduation Package and perform in two live showcases, one for invited friends and family and an additional industry showcase, attended by a panel of Casting Directors and Agents who provide feedback and critique.
1-Year Conservatory-Style
Musical Theatre Program
NYFA’s 1-Year Musical Theatre Program enables students to work on improving their existing skills and natural abilities while building knowledge and context in the craft of musical theatre.
Through performance classes and labs that focus on the fundamentals of voice, dance, and acting, students explore their own unique, personal style and use their new techniques to build up their confidence as performers. This program is designed for performers at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels, and culminates in the 1-Year Graduation Showcase for invited family and friends.
