You cannot work while you are a student at NYFA. You must have the funds to support yourself for the duration of your studies. We do not offer on-campus employment.
If you complete a conservatory or degree program, you will be eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Please see the next question regarding OPT.
NYFA has an extraordinary diverse student body with students from over 80 countries. The English language requirement at NYFA depends on the program level, however, there are resources for students who need additional English language support and education. Yes, international students are eligible for the need based tuition assistance. Students can learn more about financial aid, tuition assistance, independent funding by visiting NYFA’s financial aid page.

No, NYFA does not have meal plans. Students will need to budget and purchase food independently. However, NYFA campuses and locations are located in metropolitan cities and within walking distance of numerous and wonderful eating establishments of every culinary style.
