NYFA seeks students with the passion and drive to pursue their creative ambitions. For our Master of Fine Arts, Master of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and Associate of Fine Arts degree programs, as well as our one-year and two-year conservatories, our applicants typically have strong creative abilities and demonstrated interest in their chosen area.
Additionally, when applying for a visual arts program, prospective students will need to submit a portfolio of creative work. For performing arts programs, students may need to audition. NYFA offers 1,3,4,6,8, and 12 week and weekend workshops, as well as teen and youth summer camps and after school programs of varying lengths.
