Lara Alameddine PRODUCER
Lara Alameddine is partner and co-founder, along with Oscar®-nominated producer Daniel Dubiecki, of The Allegiance Theater, a film, television, and IP generating production company built as a destination of trust and protection for artists and audiences to experience character and quality-driven storytelling through all mediums. Working with Hollywood A-list talent, The Allegiance Theater’s goal is to create high quality content for global audiences. Her first project under The Allegiance Theater banner, Money Monster, starred George Clooney and Julia Roberts, was directed by Jodie Foster, and made its world premiere at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Released May 2016 by TriStar/Sony the film has grossed over $93m worldwide to date.
She executive produced the 2017 HBO documentary Cries From Syria which has garnered numerous awards including Cinema For Peace, Humanitas Prize, Critics Choice Documentary Award, and IDA’s Courage Under Fire Award. Most recently Alameddine produced Please Stand By starring Dakota Fanning and Toni Collette, released by Magnolia in January 2018. In April 2018, Lara was invited by The United Nations to speak on a panel alongside Dakota Fanning for World Autism Awareness Day. Most recently Alameddine produced Three Months for MTV released on Paramount+.
Alameddine started her film career at the University of British Columbia film program. She started with a string of branded content short films for corporations such as Honda and Atom Films. Over the course of the last ten years she has been working independently developing a slate of feature film and television series from original ideas, books, articles, and screenplays.
The Allegiance Theater’s upcoming projects include A Head Full of Ghosts, based on the Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel by Paul Tremblay, produced with Team Downey; Another Day in the Death of America based on award-winning Guardian journalist Gary Younge’s nonfiction book, with David Oyelowo attached to star and produce, and Oscar®-nominated Oren Moverman adapting; and the road trip dramedy Pete and Goat written by Mike Vukadinovich.
