Ronen RubinsteinActor
Ronen Rubinstein is an actor whose professional repertoire speaks for itself. A native of Rehovot, Israel, Rubinstein studied film acting at NYFA New York. He graduated from our 1-Year Acting for Film Conservatory program in 2013.
Rubinstein made his acting debut in the 2011 film Detachment, directed by Tony Kaye and starring Adrien Brody and Christina Hendricks. The same year, he appeared in the short film Katya. Meanwhile, Rubinstein played Sammy in It Felt Like Love in 2013. He also appeared in the short film Something in the Way that year.
In 2014, Rubinstein played Ronnie in Jamie Marks is Dead. He also appeared as Lincoln Taggert in Some Kind of Hate and made a guest appearance on the Netflix original show Orange is the New Black the following year.
Rubinstein played the role of Dante in the film Condemned (2015), before appearing in ten episodes of the TV series Dead of Summer (2016). In 2018, he co-starred with Awkwafina and Lucy Hale in the film Dude. He then appeared in Brooklyn Love Stories (2019) and the TV movie Less Than Zero (2019).
More recently, Rubinstein appeared in the film Smiley Face Killers (2020) and a 2021 episode of American Horror Stories.
He currently co-stars with Rob Lowe and Sierra Aylina McClain in the popular Fox series 9-1-1: Lone Star. In 2022, Rubinstein visited NYFA Los Angeles for a Q&A, speaking about his career and his experiences on the show.
Rubinstein was invited to the Los Angeles campus as a guest speaker for the Fall 2023 Commencement Ceremony.
