In July 2021, we had the pleasure of welcoming Celebrity Stylist and Costume Designer Alison Brooks as part of The 20/20 Series, created by NYFA’s Creative Director of Filmmaking and Cinematography, Liz Hinlein.

Alison Brooks is a stylist and costume designer. After spending years styling independent films and commercials for top AD campaigns from Los Angeles to New York, to South Africa, Hawaii, Barcelona, and Argentina, she moved on to editorial styling. This led her talent to celebrity styling for men and women.

As a stylist, she broke boundaries with her gender-fluid styling creations and garnered the attention of the fashion industry. Alison is experienced in both women’s and menswear. As a stylist, her creative approach incorporates a variety of forward-thinking style choices. Her creative gender-fluid looks in both print and on the Red Carpet leave her clientele exuding exceptional glamour and bending norms.

The 20/20 Series is a pop-up event that takes us into the homes, hubs, and workspaces of an array of dynamic creative visionaries to allow for relaxed, engaging conversations on craft, creation, and artistic vision. Each conversation with a creative visionary features 20 minutes of discussion with a moderator and a 20-minute Q&A from YOU, the audience.
