Acting Camp for Kids at NYFA
NYFA’s 1-Week Acting Camp for Kids is designed to teach basic acting skills through exercises, games, and group activities. In this hands-on summer acting camp, students aged 10-13 are given the tools and instruction necessary to strengthen their on-camera abilities, studying the craft of acting with a focus on film acting. Due to the amount of experience every student gains in performance, many build additional skills in public speaking, presentation, and creative collaboration. No experience is required to attend.
Program Description
Camp Name: 1-Week Acting Camp for Kids I
In this hands-on summer acting camp for kids, students work one-on-one with our instructors who are active actors and directors. Through blocking, given circumstances, partner, and moment to moment work, students learn how to tap into their imagination and access their vulnerability to create fun characters and deliver memorable performances. Students learn and practice new audition techniques and strengthen their memorization skills.
As a final project, students complete an assigned monologue, which is directed and recorded by our faculty, and edited by our in-house editors. At the end of the camp, students receive a digital copy of their work, and may invite their family and friends to a special presentation of camp projects. During the program, students will need to provide their own lunch.

We currently offer the one-week kids acting camp during the summer at New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
