Improve Audition and Film Acting Skills
In NYFA’s 12-Weekend Acting Workshop II, students who have completed a prerequisite acting camp or workshop may return to enhance their acting skills. During this dynamic program, students aged 14-17 gain more experience in their performance and audition abilities, helping them progress as an actor. This is a weekend workshop held during the academic year.
Program Description
Program Name: 12-Weekend Acting for Film Camp II for Teens
Prerequisite: 12-Weekend, 3, 4 or 6-Week Acting for Film Camp
The 12-Weekend Acting Workshop II, designed for returning NYFA campers, deepens young actors’ training and builds on the techniques learned in level one. Throughout the workshop, teens advance their skills in voice, movement, improvisation, audition technique and scene study, completing a variety of hands-on projects and exercises. Our faculty, composed of working directors and actors, may also teach topics such as Shakespeare, stage combat, film craft, dialects, and more.
As a challenge to their flexibility and versatility, 12-Week Acting for Film II students also rehearse, workshop, and film two contrasting monologues. At the end of the workshop, students receive a digital copy of their work, which is edited by our in-house editors. There is also a final screening for family members and invited guests.

The 12-Weekend Acting for Film Workshop II is available in New York and Los Angeles. At both campuses, students get a unique experience, studying in two of the most significant cities for film and entertainment.
