Filmmaking for Kids
The 2-Day Film Production Workshop is an accelerated program where students aged 10-13 make a short film. During the filmmaking for kids workshop, students quickly learn how to shoot and edit original film projects with high definition digital video. This is a seasonal workshop held during the winter break of the academic year. No experience is required to attend.
Program Description
Camp Name: 2-Day Filmmaking Camp for Kids
Hours: 7 Hours per day 10:00 AM – 5:00PM EST and PST with a one hour lunch break.
In the kids’ holiday film production workshop, our one-week program is condensed into a two-day, intensive program. Working as a group, students create their own short film in just 48 hours, challenging them to quickly pick up new creative and technical skills. The film is screened at the end of the second day in an informal presentation.
Upon the conclusion of the program, students receive a USB drive from NYFA with a digital copy of their work. During the workshop, students need to provide their own lunch.
