Develop Audition and Acting Skills
In NYFA’s level-two acting summer camp for kids, aspiring actors and performers aged 10-13 build on the skills developed in our level-one acting for film camps. This hands-on program gives students the opportunity to improve their performance and audition abilities, helping them continue to build experience in front of the camera.
Program Description
Camp Name: 2-Week Acting Camp for Kids II
Prerequisite: 1 or 2-Week Acting for Film Camp for Kids
During this intensive acting camp, aspiring actors can continue to pursue their interest in film acting. Similar to our level-one camp, students learn under the mentorship of our experienced instructors of active actors and directors. Through hands-on games, exercises, and group activities, students practice blocking, partner, moment to moment, and given circumstances work, and build their audition and memorization skills.
Students who attend the level-two acting camp complete two contrasting monologues, as well as a scene with a professional actor, which are recorded by our faculty and edited by our in-house editors. At the completion of the camp, students receive a USB drive with a copy of their projects. Students may also invite family and friends to a screening of their final work. During the camp, students need to bring their own lunch.
