Online Acting Camp at NYFA
The New York Film Academy’s 3-Week Online Acting for Film Camp for teens offers young actors the one-of-a-kind opportunity to study the craft of acting with industry professionals in an online platform accessible from anywhere in the world. Held through interactive online classes, the 3-Week Acting for Film Camp gives students an unforgettable experience as they learn the skills and techniques to act both on set and online.
Program Description
Camp Name: 3-Week Acting for Film Camp for Teens – Online
This online intensive program will help develop the skills you need to be a successful actor. Students will learn how to choose and workshop monologues, learn how to write, shoot and produce their own original character monologues, discover how to break down and prepare a script, explore the basic tenets of film acting, and prepare for the business by learning how to self-tape and submit for auditions. This unique experience is a wonderful way to study at the New York Film Academy with students from all over the world, with the convenience of an online platform.
Class Descriptions
Monologues – Choosing, Analyzing, Developing, Staging, personal connection, imaginary circumstances, rehearsals, performance.
Improv/Character Creation – Students will create and film monologues based on characters that they create.
Acting for Film – Acting for the frame size, Reaction shots, Movie Magic, Marks, prepping a role.
Business of Acting/Auditions – The Basics of Self-Tape, Film audition, Auditioning Online, Submissions, Basics of Headshots and Resumes.
Campers will leave the program with:
- Monologue that is polished and ready for auditions
- Several taped on camera exercises
- Audition Basics
- Self- written Character Monologue
