Improve Audition and Acting Skills for Film
Designed for students who already attended a level-one acting program, NYFA’S 4-Week level-two summer acting camp allows aspiring actors to return and gain more experience on-camera. In this intensive camp, students aged 14-17 are challenged to build upon their existing abilities in film acting, taking their craft to the next level through a series of hands-on projects and exercises.
Program Description
Camp Name: 4-Week Acting for Film Camp II for Teens
Prerequisite: 12-Weekend, 3, 4 or 6-Week Acting for Film Camp
The 4-Week Acting Camp II helps teens continue building skills in voice, movement, and improvisation. The summer camp keeps aspiring actors challenged and inspired, providing them with ample opportunities to practice their scene work, monologues, and audition techniques. Our experienced faculty of working actors and directors may also cover special topics that may include Shakespeare, stage combat, dialects, and film craft.
Throughout the four weeks, students shoot scenes and audition for roles in student films, giving them plenty of opportunities in front of the camera. Students also perform an assigned monologue and a scene in front of the camera. These projects are filmed in class by our faculty and edited by our in-house editors. Students receive a digital copy of their monologue at the conclusion of the camp. Students may also invite their family and guests to a final screening that showcases their work.
